FAQ

You have questions. We have answers!

GENERAL
Why choose Reach Pediatric Rehab?

A: Reach provides a completely different experience than one you’ll find at a large children’s hospital. Your child will always receive care according to their individual needs in a compassionate and supportive environment.

Each individual has inherent worth and will be given appropriate support and training to allow them to attain their maximal degree of functional independence. We know that a child with a disability is first and foremost a child. Our team recognizes that children are not little adults and adolescents are not big children.

Will you work with my child's other healthcare providers?

A: Yes! Dr. Pham and the Reach Specialist team strongly believe that teamwork is the foundation for a successful treatment experience. We proudly collaborate with providers and organizations in the Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Maryland communities.

I’m feeling very overwhelmed by my child’s diagnosis! Where do I begin?

A: Dr. Pham and the Reach Specialties providers wants to impart knowledge and share information, so patients and families are able to restore a little order and control to their lives. She will ensure you have every opportunity to learn everything you can about what your child is facing, how she can help, and what you can do to make life easier for your child and yourself. Dr. Pham believes family and patient education are important to patient success.

INSURANCE
What insurance do you accept?

A:Dr. Pham is in-network for specialist appointments with Aetna, Carefirst/BCBS, United and Cigna. It is the patient’s responsibility to confirm insurance covers Reach Pediatric Rehab services. Out-of-network patients will receive a superbill to submit to your insurance.  Please note the Concierge fee is in addition to service fees and any services covered by insurance.

Reach Specialities is out-of-network for Dr. Singh.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

A: You may be able to use your HSA or FSA. Please contact your plan representative to get more information about this option.

CONCIERGE PRACTICE
What is a concierge practice?

A: A concierge practice is a traditional medical practice with added benefits paid for by a membership fee not covered by your insurance. It allows providers to have a smaller patient caseload, and therefore provide a higher quality of care to those patients.

What are the benefits of concierge medicine?

A: At Reach Pediatric Rehab, there are a multitude of benefits, many of which start from the moment that you call the office.

Ease of communication: No phone trees when you call Reach Pediatric Rehab! Just one person connecting with another person. Access to the online portal through the electronic health record is easy and Dr. Pham will respond within 24hrs of your request. You may call the office during the day, and if needed, may call Dr. Pham’s cell phone after hours. In an emergency, please call 911. You will also have Dr. Pham’s direct email address for easier communication with other providers such as your child’s therapist.

Ease of access: Dr. Pham’s office is conveniently located in Tyson’s Corner with easy and free parking. No need to valet, wait in line, worry about where you parked your car. The check in process is simple and streamlined in the office. There is little to no wait time in the office as we believe that everyone’s time is valuable!

Flexibility in office hours: Dr. Pham will do her best to offer times that are convenient for patients and families. She may also offer telemedicine in certain cases depending on clinical need, insurance and state guidelines.

Long visits: Initial visits are up to 90 minutes and follow up visits up to 45. Dr. Pham believes in spending time getting to know patients and families as well as providing comprehensive evaluations. If this is not enough time for your visit, you can schedule a close follow up. This does not change the cost of the monthly membership.

Collaboration with your care team: Dr. Pham believes in bringing your care team together to guide the recommendations provided to you. We work better together so that you as a family are not stuck in the middle!

Paperwork: Dr. Pham is efficient in returning paperwork (e.g. school forms, FMLA, etc.) within 24hrs if she has all the information needed to proceed. No more hassle of repeat calls to get your paperwork done.

Education: Dr. Pham is a passionate educator. She teaches regularly in clinic visits, but also provides opportunities for learning outside of the visit. This includes access to a series of educational videos on her YouTube channel, regular blog posts, semi-monthly Zoom talks for families and more. Education empowers people to get the care they need and to advocate for their loved one!

Resources: Dr. Pham maintains a library of resources on a variety of topics that she shares when applicable with patients and families. She is also well connected in the community to know what resources you or your child may benefit from.

Kindness and compassion: Insurance doesn’t cover this, although it’s the foundation for a productive and positive relationship with your provider.

How much is the concierge membership fee?

A: $99 per month. There are no contracts, so you can cancel any time if you no longer need to see Dr. Pham or you relocate from the area.

Do I need to register for the concierge service to see Dr. Pham for an initial visit?
