Developmental Evaluations

With fifteen years of experience as a clinical psychologist for children ages 0-5, Dr. Singh is an expert, compassionate clinician who has a passion for providing families with the insight that they need to best support their children. A comprehensive developmental assessment with Reach includes:
Virtual Consultation: Prior to coming into the office for evaluation, parents meet with Dr. Singh virtually gathers information about the child’s background, clinical history, and gains insight into the concerns and questions that families may have about their child’s development. Based on the Virtual Consultation, Dr. Singh works with your family to determine what is needed during the Evaluation.
Evaluation: Typically this is clinical observation with your family present and administration of cognitive testing or a play-based assessment for 1.5 to 2 hours. Dr. Singh will administer developmental testing including: (A,B,C,). She will observe the child and take notes on behavioral patterns and social-emotional and cognitive skills.
Virtual Feedback: 30 minute appointment to discuss the findings of the evaluation, and recommendations for treatment.
SCHOOL OBSERVATION: Dr. Singh will travel to your child’s school to observe them in their classroom. She will be able to watch social skills in action, observe behavior, and interactions with teachers and adults. Cost is $300 + travel fee.
ADOS-II: For some children, in their initial evaluation appointment, Dr. Singh will determine that an additional evaluation may be required to determine if a child is autistic. It requires a secondary appointment, as the ADOS-II requires approximately two hours to complete. The cost for this evaluation is approximately $450.
