Dr. Kelly Pham’s Concierge Practice :

Dr. Kelly Pham, founder of The Reach Center, offers PMR care to pediatric and adult patients from DC, Maryland, and Virginia. PMR is also sometimes referred to as “physiatry,” meaning Dr. Pham is a physiatrist. If you ask her what this means, she’ll tell you, a physiatrist is a doctor of function.

Sometimes illness, injury or chronic conditions limit function. A physiatrist works with patients to maximize their abilities. They diagnose patients and develop treatment plans to improve function, ease of movement, comfort and quality of life.

A pediatric physiatrist is a physician with specialized training in physical medicine and rehabilitation with additional fellowship training in the care of children. They are doctors who practice the nonsurgical treatment of injuries and illnesses that affect movement in patients due to conditions with:

  • Nerves
  • Muscles
  • Bones
  • Brain
  • Spinal cord

For pediatric patients, Dr. Pham has two multidisciplinary clinics that she runs with physical therapists
